Rohit Chanana – President
Rohit is the President of HeroITES and he has been leading this business since May 2004. Rohit is responsible for building and executing the long term strategy in order to ensure that HeroITES achieves leadership position in ITES Industry. He has been able to make a big difference in the organization by providing a direction and creating an open, performance driven and participative culture. The outcome of his efforts has resulted in improved financial performance within the first few months of his joining HeroITES. The current focus is to grow the business both organically and inorganically in multiple geographies.
He has been associated with HeroITES in different capacities since its inception and has played an active role in defining its strategy. He has a very good grasp of the contact center business. Rohit has been instrumental in HeroITES forging the partnership USA’ Top 10 call center companies. Rohit has the passion, drive and leadership skills to deliver results.
Rohit has a rich work experience of over 24 years with some of the leading corporates in India like Ranbaxy and Escorts Ltd.
Rohit joined the Hero Group at Hero Corporate Service Limited (HCSL) in Dec 1994. HCSL is the advisor to Hero Group’s 20 Companies. Rohit was responsible for helping some of the Group companies to build a long term growth strategy , M&A and business restructuring, advising on strategic issues including managing shareholders value and portfolio management, reviewing performance of the existing businesses, raising long term and short term funds from international and domestic markets, investment of surplus funds.
Prior to joining Hero Rohit worked with Ranbaxy Pharmaceuticals, largest pharmaceutical company from India and Escorts Limited. He was instrumental in setting up of Treasury function at Ranbaxy and had P&L responsibility for this function with a foreign currency exposure of USD 200 Mn and Surplus Funds of USD 150 Mn; Business Today rated the Treasury as one of the most proactive and best managed in 1993. Besides, Rohit had also coordinated the Company’s maiden Euro Issue of USD 100 Mn which was lead managed by Goldman Sachs. He also organized a syndicated loan of USD 50 Mn, considered as one of the most innovative deals in fund raising in 1994, as reported by Business Standard Magazine.
Rohit is a Graduate in Commerce from University of Delhi. He is also a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
